Sunday and Monday were the last mildish days of this weather cycle. Tuesday the high will drop into the fifties, and then they will head down, though the nocturnal lows will trend up as clouds increase. It will be characteristically Decembery at last. Plus rain starting Thursday, reaching a peak on Saturday. Farther down the valley there has been fog, though here we've only had thin overcast to dim the moon and the few stars that compete with the urban lights, with the celestial damp dissipating by mid-morning to leave bright blue afternoons.

Sunday evening I finally got around to fixing an actual dinner with some of the stuff I got from the store Friday, and it turned out pretty good, but did provoke some indigestion which lingers today. It shortened my sleep, the discomfort forcing me to rise by seven o'clock this morning. Had it not distracted me I might have slept until noon. Now, in fact. Instead, I feel like I might be going back to bed soon. The gastric discomfort has probably diminished sufficiently to allow me to get to sleep again, as long as the bright daylight doesn't interfere and the itch that's been annoying me for the last half hour doesn't get worse. Damn, but age is full of petty disruption. I always wondered why so many old people were so cranky all the time. I sure as hell know now.
