52/29: Dry
Feb. 10th, 2025 11:58 amSome sort of game Sunday, I heard. I didn't watch it. I had a nice nap. It was daylight when I went to sleep and almost one o'clock in the morning when I woke up. That means I won. There was a ring for me. It had powdered sugar on it. It was delicious. Later there was a bowl with ramen in it instead of football players, and I enjoyed that as well. Recently I had a packet of lemon pepper tuna and some crackers. Some people say tuna fish, but the only tuna I know of that isn't fish is the cactus pear, which is tuna in Spanish, but I never get cactus pears, and if I did I would eat them in English anyway, so I call the fish just tuna.
Now I've been awake for a bit over twelve hours, which is about the maximum I can stay awake anymore. I'm having a cup of mullein leaf tea sweetened with local hive honey. My nose has been running a lot lately, and I've sneezed quite a bit, and I'm hoping the honey will calm my allergies which have been stirred up by the return of mild weather. Mullein leaf tea is also supposed to help suppress mucous production, but I haven't known it to be very effective at that. It doesn't hurt though. As soon as I finish it I'm going to go back to bed, bathed in afternoon glare though the bed is.
The mildness is only by day, by the way. At night we are getting freezing temperatures and frost warnings. There is also a flood watch along the river, even though the next rain is not due until Thursday. After that, showers Friday and a few cloudy days, but warmer days with highs in the sixties, and nights in the forties. I guess I'll be saving a bit on the utility bill again, but water will be in shorter supply than we'd like this summer. I hope no clowns order more of it to be squandered for bogus photo ops.
