52/70: Some, Not Much

Wednesday's rain turned out to be a dribble (not even a drizzle.) A couple of dampenings and a brief afternoon flurry of drops that ended just before becoming a redemptive sun shower, and other than that just an overcast that broke up in time for an unimpressive sunset. The closest thing to excitement all day was out loss of water when the guys working on the front apartment's renovation into an Air B&B found that when the re-plumbing was done last year they failed to install individual shutoffs for each apartment, so today they had to shut water to the whole place down in order to install a new bathtub up front. It gave me an excuse to put off doing the dishes until late, and then I took a nap that extended well into the evening. Until just half an hour ago, in fact. Now I suspect I'm all slept out for the night, and won't get to sleep again until after dawn. That's always unpleasant, but at least there's nothing planned for Friday so no extra disruption.

But of course I've had no dinner, and I'll have to deal with that now, but not right away as I've just downed some iced tea and a donut. I'll probably get hungry around half past three. So dinner for breakfast again, and time all askew. Nothing new about that, but I wish it wasn't happening all the damned time. No wonder the clock tries to fool me. I'm being punished for my chronic disrespect. But the forecast is saying there could still be some rain later tonight, so maybe I'll get a distraction. Probably not though. Most likely just a bit more dribble. I should just shut up and be grateful the water is back on. For now.
