52/211-212: Sleepy Dopey, Doc
Sep. 16th, 2025 04:58 pmLooking at the calendar on the computer I see less time has passed since last I was here than I'd thought. It's only been two days, when I'd thought it was at least three and maybe four. It's my weird sleep pattern at fault, I'm sure. And I've been sleeping so much. Tuesday afternoon I napped for several hours, then got up about half past six, and now I find myself nodding off and barely able to keep my eyes open less than four hours later. I want to stay up until it gets cool enough outside too open the windows and turn on the fan, which will be about ten o'clock. If I go to bed earlier, the heat will surely knock me out and I'll end up sleeping through my prime cooling hours, and wake up sweating in the sultry dark.
Oh, only half an hour to go, but I just faceplanted on the keyboard. That can't be good. I'm thinking maybe I should open the window and turn the fan on early, and let it get a bit hotter in here than it should. It will only be for a brief while, and least I'll be getting my beauty (or less ugly some would say) rest. which I desperately need.
Envying southern Californians who will be getting some rain soon. The monsoon will miss us, except for some higher humidity, which I'd gladly do without. But what the hell. Fifteen minutes now, I'm going to go for it. Good night, cruel Idarnet.
