Reset Forty-Seven, Day Forty-Six

rejectomorphFriday morning I slept fitfully, but During wakeful periods enjoyed listening to the sometimes vigorous rain. I finally gave up on sleep before noon and spent the remainder of the daylight hours In the usual wastage, but with dimmer light than usual. Unable to bring myself to cook or eat a meal, I snacked on such things as chips and sour cream, and sometime in the undifferentiated hours after nightfall I returned to bed, where I again slept fitfully, this time repeatedly waking with fragments of unpleasant, but now forgotten, dreams in my head.
Each time I woke I found the bedclothes more severely disarranged, but I never felt like getting up to fix them properly. By the time I finally got up around two o'clock in the morning I was entangled in a giant rat's nest of fabrics with which I was obliged to fight before I could finally put my swollen feet on the chilled floor. A couple of hours ago I finally fixed something resembling food, namely a grilled cheese sandwich, which I ate in relative peace during a long lull in the storm. The lull is over now, and the rain is again falling steadily and the wind blowing frequent gusts.
Right now I'm ready to go back to bed and listen to the rain some more as I go back to sleep. I'll fall off this chair in about two minutes if I don't.
