rejectomorphSomehow I lost track of an entire day. I kept thinking it was Tuesday but it was Wednesday. The donuts tried to tell me, but I paid no attention. I opened the fresh package Tuesday, and when I ate the second donut I ought to have known it was Wednesday. Simple things don't stick to my brain anymore. Anyway, there was at least one long nap, and then half a can of tamales for dinner. I'll have the other half Friday night.
I still haven't ordered pants from anywhere. Just thinking about dragging my eyes through those web pages wears me out. It has to be done soon though, as I need to go to the bank. For that I need pants (why, I don't know) and I'll also need to squeeze my swollen feet into some street shoes. The last time I did that it was agonizing, and that was only for a few minutes to walk out to the mailbox and back. Banking will take a lot longer.
Today is supposed to be 66 degrees again, but we'll get back to something more like winter soon. There is even some chance of a bit more rain Sunday morning. Toward the end of the month and early February the nights will get quite chilly, with lows in the high twenties. I doubt that the current warm spell has been long enough to encourage anything to bud, so there probably won't be any for the upcoming cold to nip. At the moment it doesn't look like any more big storms are on the way. the El Nino condition in the Pacific appears to be weakening, so there might not be any more significant rain at all this winter. There's already quite a bit of snow in the mountains, though, and the reservoirs are fuller than they were last year at this time, so there's going to be enough water for the year. Next year is anybody's guess, but I wouldn't be optimistic.
I was thinking about a bedtime snack, but I think I'll just put my swollen feet, aching legs, and sorry ass to bed without one. I'll get a donut in a few hours when I wake up. Assuming I wake up. At my age one can't be sure.
