Reset Forty-Eight, Day Thirty-Eight
Mar. 24th, 2023 03:20 amMuch of Thursday I was occupied with (shudder) shopping online for clothing. A combination of stuff wearing out and my weight changing has forced me to seek now garments, which I find a tedious and thankless task. I got a few new items back in January (I think, though I've suppressed all the details in my subconscious) but still need more stuff, so that's what I did Thursday. It was horrible. I got stuff from Kohl's this time, and ten items are to be delivered sometime around the end of this month.
There is still more stuff I need, but I haven't decided if I should spend more time at Kohl's, or go back to J. C, Penney's where I got the first batch of seven items, or if I should maybe try a new place. I wish we still had the Kmart down the road, as I could usually get in and out of that place pretty fast. It was rarely crowded. But then I guess that's why they closed it down. Nobody went there.
A few cold nights upcoming (there is actually a frost warning for growers tonight) and rain is unlikely until early next week. The bushes in my back yard are loaded with unopened buds. I'm not even entirely rid of last year's dead pokeweed, and here it is spring again already. That yard is an overgrown shambles. Yet another thing to take care of. And if we keep getting rainstorms as the weather heats up, we're going to get loads of mosquitoes this year, and I'm sure to be devoured. At least I'm unlikely to get spring fever anymore. I'm as lethargic then as I am at any other season. I expect I'll go on sleeping as much as possible. It's probably possible right now, so that's what I'm going to try to do.
