Reset Forty-Eight, Day Thirty-Four
Mar. 30th, 2023 01:59 amFedEx screwed up Wednesday and didn't deliver my package. They sent a notification saying it will arrive sometime today. I suppose it is for the best, as it rained most of the day Wednesday and today is supposed to be mostly sunny, with only an 8% chance of showers. Sunny it may be, but not warm. We aren't scheduled for a high temperature of 70 or more until the second week of April.
There hasn't been any word from UPS about my second package, which was delayed by something unspecified but train-related. I'm guessing that if it ever arrives it won't be until next week. I might have been entirely swallowed into my fantasy world by then, and not even need the stuff I ordered (I'm assuming that once I've been entirely swallowed by my fantasy world I'll be put into some sort of institution where I'll probably be kept naked except for one of those paper hospital gowns.)
For Wednesday dinner I microwaved a frozen Korean entrée of some sort, which was not particularly impressive, though not revolting either. I could probably live in a world in which I ate that meal once a week or so without too much complaint. But I wouldn't be anything I'd call happy. But I probably won't have it again, as I bought it on sale and the regular price is way too much for what the thing is. I'd just as soon microwave a standard ramen bowl or yakisoba for a third the price.
I lately had a bedtime snack of English muffin with cinnamon sugar and a glass of Kahlua and milk. We'll see how that effects my sleeping. Sometimes drink makes it better, and sometimes worse. At the moment I'm feeling quite sleepy, but that might be because I didn't get an evening nap Wednesday. Or at least I don't remember getting one. Anyway I'm very close to crashing. And it's chilly and I want my warm covers. I believe I hear some rain sprinkles falling. It will likely be sunny when I wake up.
