Reset Forty-Eight, Day Eighty-Six

rejectomorphThursday's earache gradually returned Friday evening, so I put another dose of the eardrops in it and, after fussing a while, finally got to sleep again and slept about six hours off and on. The ear did not ache for a few hours after that, but for the last few hours it has been growing more painful, so I guess it's another dose of drops for me. I hate the way liquid feels running down into my ear canal, and I can feel it for along time, but the earache is worse, so I'll do it. The persistence of the earache means I'll probably have to see a doctor about it, which is another thing I really hate.
Once again I didn't feel like fixing diner, so I ended up eating chips and sour cream. I suppose sour cream is food of a sort, and if the chips are going to kill me I wish they'd get on with it (I've been eating them most of my life and I'm starting to think they don't take their mandate to slaughter us seriously.) And now, being still a bit peckish, I'm eating some cherry ice cream. It's almost cherry season, but they are still a bit too expensive, so I'm hoping the ice cream will tide me over.
Today is only supposed to get up to 89 degrees, but the nineties will be back for the subsequent three days. The fan has been on for hours, but its only down to 74 in here right now. I might have to turn the air conditioner on for a few minutes. I don't dare leave the fan on when I'm going to sleep, as I might not wake up soon enough to prevent it from filling the apartment with mot morning air. If I knock it down to 70 or so I can turn the air conditioner off and it will stay cool enough for me to get to sleep.
Damn, I just sneezed and it hurt my abdominal muscles. How the hell does that happen? Age. What a drag. And now I need to put those eardrops in.
