Reset Forty-Nine, Day Ninety-Five

Saturdays are for sleeping now, so just like other days. When I'm not sleeping I'm usually on the Idernet, which is a kind of sleeping, but with odder and more disturbing dreams. When I get up from the chair to do something my legs are sore and don't move me around very well. Fixing a dinner of three things, as I did Saturday, is quite tiring. I might need to do things differently soon. Dinners that don't require standing too long during their preparation. Or I might get an exoskeleton that carries most of my weight, making it easier to stand longer. They have exoskeletons at Amazon now don't they? No? Ah, well. I guess it will be an ordinary walker for me then. Too bad. I was looking forward to becoming a techno-mutant. I guess I'll just do this instead:

After the Dragonflies

Dragonflies were as common as sunlight
hovering in their own days
backward forward and sideways
as though they were memory
now there are grown-ups hurrying
who never saw one
and do not know what they
are not seeing
the veins in a dragonfly’s wings
were made of light
the veins in the leaves knew them
and the flowing rivers
the dragonflies came out of the color of water
knowing their own way
when we appeared in their eyes
we were strangers
they took their light with them when they went
there will be no one to remember us
