Some vociferous birds greeted me when I went out to check the mailbox Thursday afternoon. They seem to be enjoying the weather, which is bringing highs that are still a bit above normal for this time of year. It's been rather sunny as well, and not our usual grey winter gloom. That gloom will be back soon, though, and bringing some actual rain Monday and Tuesday. That will be nice for me if I'm still sleeping in the daytime, as it's much easier to get to sleep when there is a pleasant overcast.

For some reason, I kept eating all day Thursday, even though I didn't feel particularly hungry. Maybe it was just something to do. I'm really glad I've got that waffle iron now. I made a waffle as a substitute for shortcake with strawberries. It worked out quite well, but I put a bit too much sugar in the whipped cream. It made for a very unhealthy (and large) snack between two dinners. But fruit, right? Fruit is good for you, so that makes it okay.

I should try to be awake between eleven and three today, as that's when my steam mop is supposed to be delivered, but I don't think I will be. My hamster wheel brain is racing at the moment and will probably crash about the beginning of that period. Of course the delivery is by FedEx, so chances are good it won't even get here today.

What else was there? Hell, I don't know. I might as well go lie awake in bed while my brain spins away.
