Reset Forty-Nine, Day Two Hundred Four
Dec. 16th, 2023 08:49 amSo the steam mop arrived a bit after three o'clock in the afternoon, and before assembling it I decided I should vacuum the floor, at which point I discovered that I've forgotten how to turn the vacuum cleaner on. Seriously. It's gotten that bad. That got me so depressed that I didn't even bother to try to track down the user instructions for the vacuum. Of course I don't remember where I put them. I just went back to bed and napped for a couple more hours. After the nap I remembered I need to eat and remembered how to operate the oven so I heated one of my two remaining frozen lasagnas. I also made a small salad. It was all very tasty. But it was nighttime and I didn't feel like doing anything else, so I watched music videos on YouTube until it was time to sleep yet again, which wasn't very long.
Now it's today and the mop is still in the box, and I still haven't found the vacuum instructions, and I've had orange juice and iced tea and a donut and two slices of toast, and I'm wondering if I should boost the thermostat another degree because I feel too cold. I should probably think about lunch. It won't be long before I need to sleep again. Maybe I should heat some soup. Soup is high sodium comfort food. On the other hand I have bananas going overripe, and I could haul out my new stick blender and mix one of them with some milk and a scoop of ice cream and drop of vanilla into a drink. Cans of soup keep pretty well, while bananas don't.
And then there's the vacuum. And the steam mop. And Saturday isn't going anywhere as far as I know. It usually hangs around here and lasts all day. We'll see what becomes of it. I'd feel better if my neck wasn't threatening tog out on me though. That's going to interfere with anything and everything.
