rejectomorphEverybody, everywhere is talking about the heat. I've just realized what it is. Hot flashes! Earth is going through menopause! Soon, there will be no more new species. On the bright side, there will be lots of cookies, pies and cakes.

Earlier, I saw some insects flying above the yard across the street. They were highly reflective, and looked like small lights swooping and soaring and diving. I was curious as to what they might be, but it was so hot that I couldn't bring myself to make the waterless trek across fifty feet of pavement. Now that the sun has gone behind the trees, I no longer see them. But, at least there is time for a walk.
