I just spent a couple or three hours ordering stuff from Safeway, which my niece (or nephew) will pick up after one o'clock (and maybe as late as eight— it's all tentative today.) I'm not too sure anymore what I ordered, but there is an email I could look at if I want to horrify myself. There are fifty one items and it will run around a hundred and seventy bucks. Reality no longer resembles what I remember.

On the other hand, not only will I have no utility bill to pay this month, but my share of the California Climate Credit this time around will probably cancel next month's bill as well, unless it gets really really hot and I have to use the air conditioner too much. I'm sure I won't be using the furnace much, as May doesn't get that chilly in these parts. It rarely gets very hot either, so my next bill is likely to be the one that comes in June.

My Thursday sleep wasn't very good, and shopping always wears me out, but I have to stay awake until the groceries arrive, so this could be a rough day. There was some light rain overnight, which ended only an hour or so ago, but now the sun is out and the clouds have all but vanished. The forecast is still saying there could be thundershowers this afternoon, but it sure doesn't look likely at the moment.

I need to find breakfast (all out of donuts) and wash Thursday's dinner dishes and then myself. I'll spend the rest of the day regretting the nap I can't take. Also hobbling a lot, as my legs are not functioning properly. That might be from sitting in this chair too long while ordering stuff. Or I've got polio. One of those.
