Reset Fifty, Day Forty-Eight
Aug. 29th, 2024 10:04 amWednesday afternoon I slept quite intensely, which may have contributed to the disorientation I felt on waking. It took what felt like several minutes to remember where I was and even longer to remember what time was, and when I was in it (words don't quite describe this situation, but I have no idea what else to use.) Anyway, I spent most of what was left of the evening still feeling displaced, and didn't start to feel normal again until after dinner, which consisted mostly of beans.
My later nocturnal sleep was less intense, and in fact was cut short by a bout of hamster brain, after which I read for an hour or so, getting up about half past four this morning. I've been sneezing a lot, probably from autumnal allergies related to plants decaying and going to seed. Whiffs of wildfire smoke have been more frequent as well. I've been so lethargic that I haven't even looked at the Safeway web site to see what I might want to order tomorrow, or talked to my niece to see if she will even be available to pick stuff up for me. My brain is feeling stuffed with cotton wool again, which state I hope will end soon. Maybe one of my sneezes will blow the cotton out. Or the brains. At this point I don't much care which, as long as it ends.
