rejectomorphSo Monday's dinner became Wednesday's breakfast because I slept so much Tuesday, including over half the night. I went in for a little nap about six o'clock and ended up sleeping until after two in the morning. Totally forgot it was Christmas eve and failed to set the reindeer traps, so no elf-stuffed reindeer haunch for dinner today. I think there's a can of Spam though, and if not there's always macaroni and cheese, or a peanut butter sandwich. Happy Hellydays.
There was quite a bit of rain Tuesday afternoon, but also about an hour of bright sunshine. There has been some sunshine this morning too, and I'm hoping it won't interfere with my morning nap I'm intending to take soon. The overcast we've enjoyed recently has spoiled me. It's so much easier to pretend the world isn't there when it's poorly lit. And speaking of poorly lit, the last of the three bulbs in my bathroom fixture burned out, and as they are non-standard I have no idea where to get replacements, or even how to install them. They don't unscrew, so they are either stuck or they simply pull out, but I haven't gotten the nerve to yank on one yet. Once again, technology displeases and disappoints me. I'll probably end up calling a nephew to bail my technologically inept boomer ass out.
After a dryish day today, there should be more rain for the rest of the week, but so far early January is looking simply cloudy in the long term forecasts. This far out nothing is certain though, so we might be getting plenty of rain then. The snow accumulation isn't looking as good as it could. December has been okay, but we really need a snowy January in the mountains, which means we need a rainy January in the valley. Come on NASA, work those chemtrails!
