rejectomorphToday I intend to blame the bright sunlight for my skipping breakfast and eating half a bag of Fritos instead. I'm simply discombobulated by this unwarranted intrusion of extravagant light into my eyes. It is not helping that someone is running a noisy machine nearby. At first I thought it was a leaf blower or a lawn mower, but now I suspect that it is a motorbike of some sort. But, feeling defiant, I don't intend to let it keep me awake. This is my midday naptime, and being full of corn chips I am not hungry and I intend to sleep for at least three hours, bright light and noisy machinery or not.
Oh, the sun is trying to trick me into thinking it is ice cream weather, but I'm not fooled. Those Klondike bars will remain in the freezer. Does somebody think I was born yesterday? Well, I wasn't. I'm old! Really, really, really old. Little known fact: I was Keith Richards' baby sitter. And I wish I felt that young.
