rejectomorphSo I've been up all night, which was not my intention, but things will go out of control. I also failed to eat dinner again, but that had a lot to do with the heat, which tends to kill both my appetite and my willingness to cook. I need to go to sleep now, but first I'm having a bedtime snack of chips and sour cream. The night was cooler than recent nights, and I've gotten the apartment down to 75 degrees, and it might go down another degree before I go comatose. This is already the coolest I've been in over a week. The next couple of nights could also turn out to be the coolest I'll be for the rest of the summer, but I won't dwell on the dismal possibilities. There are a couple of cool nights to enjoy.
This being a holiday I'll have no need to traipse down the driveway to fetch mail, and the chances that I'll manage to drag my carcass to the holiday half price sale at the Goodwill store are vanishingly small, so I'll most likely spend the day intermittently conscious and sweating in bed. But this will depend in part on whether a great deal of noise is generated by the burgeoning population of the renascent homeless camp that has lately re-emerged along the bike path the other side of my back fence. It sometimes gets pretty rowdy over there. At some point the minions of the law will undoubtedly drive them out, but I don't report them. I'm sure their lives are difficult enough as is, and certainly more difficult than mine.
Oh crap, woolgathering again. The sky is getting lighter, and I ought to get to bed before the glare becomes intolerable. I'll have a square of chocolate and get my toes into the breeze. Luxury, for a while.
