it might be what's called a "book cyst" they come on abruptly. a sack of liquid usually generated from a blow to the area. they call it a book cyst because the remedy for it is to hit it with a large book to break it... at least that's what happened to me... the doctor distracted me by looking at some large medical book and then looked out the window and asked "is that a robin?" (it was january) when I looked, she whapped the cist with the book and it was gone... but it may be a bug bite...
