I'm actaully a native of Los Angeles (one of its older suburbs, to be exact) but I've always been fond of the architecture of the older cities of the east, especially New York. Dover Puiblications has one of the best collections of architecture books available, most of them reprints of works in the public domain, so they are reasonably priced. That's why they are such a danger to me! When I think I'm getting a bargain, I always want to buy more, MORE, MORE!
