Greetings. There probably are quite a few LJ users in and around Chico, especially given the fact that the university is there. But they are hard to find. When I first saw LJ (about 4 months ago) there was a feature that made automatic links of the locations on everybody's user info page. It worked just like the links that form in your interests list. The next time I was here, a few days later, it was no longer working, and it hasn't worked since. They have had a lot of trouble with the directory, for various tech reasons that I don't understand. I don't know if that place-link feature will ever be fixed, but it would be nice if it were. In the meantime, I just stuck Paradise and Chico in my interests list, just to see who they would link to. Only a couple of the people who list Chico as an interest seem to actually live there, and I am apparently the only person to list Paradise who actually lives here. I think that there must be a band or a game or some such thing of which I am ignorant called Paradise, because there are quite a few people who list it in their intersts, but none of them seem to have anything to do with this place. And, of course, why should they? It is a very dull place.
