Oh yeah, when I was learning German, the first example my teacher used was the Kennedy speech, it should be "Ich bin Berliner".
Distinctions between scones and muffins are pretty hazy here too. On the south coast, lots of little teashops sell English scones with jam and cornish clotted cream - lovely, but too much can make you feel ill.
