Another spike of heat is arriving. I'll bet the snakes are happy. They can slither onto the rocks and sun themselves all day after a morning feast of field mouse. Other reptiles may not fare so well. My cat brought be a gift of writhing lizard this afternoon. I let it escape, of course. I believe their tails do grow back eventually. At the moment, I'm enjoying the sight of the crescent moon, come to dimly light the cool evening. I can't enjoy the quiet, though, as I have to keep the window fans going for Sluggo. Within an hour or two it ought to be cool enough to catch up on my reading. Right now is the time for peanut butter and television. I arrange my schedule around the needs of a machine! How did it come to this?
