Um...I suppose this is a stupid question, but I excell at them...
What's to keep you from getting a small (5000 btu) window air conditioner for the room with your computer, so you and Sluggo both have a haven from the heat? They can be had for as little as $120. I remember how hot the days on the ridge can get this time of year...and lived on Pearson in a little apartment in an older house, planted in front of a fan and quite miserable, so I know what you're going through and commiserate. Down here in Florida, when the central air died, we resorted to window AC units, and I don't think I could survive in this moist heat without them.
