Dullness

Neighbor kids woke me up today with arbitrary screeching, and then older kids woke me up a bit later with loud music. I'm pretty sure I've turned into a crotchety geezer, at least while I'm asleep. What's more, I'm pretty sure I like it. The kids will soon be going back to school, and I will chuckle at their displeasure, and I will enjoy the peaceful days of their absence. Yup.

Once I woke up, nothing of any interest happened. Sometimes it is difficult to tell the difference between being awake and being asleep around here. Between the two, the latter probably has a bit more potential for excitement. Even the cat does nothing but nap most of the time. I wouldn't mind having a peek at her dreams for a change.

I think I'm going to wad up a piece of paper and bat it around the room for a while.
