It's been a clear night for watching the late winter stars while basking in the most unwinterlike air. The early leaves are already beginning to conceal patches of sky. Night diminishes in space as it does in time. Everything else grows. I can sense the boles of the trees expanding, and the grass pushing aside the soil. There is no breeze tonight, but I am intensely aware of the air. It is vibrant in its stillness, filled with fresh scents, a mass of nascent energy. Something is about to happen.
