rejectomorphDay's heat clings to the night earth like sticky sweat. Oppressed, the the pines droop and the oaks drop immature acorns which clatter down rooftops. The faint hum of air conditioners vibrates the flaccid air lying along the empty street. Only the cricket sounds happy. I'm waiting for the woods to exhale. The season seems endless.
