At nine PM Saturday night, I got an email from my weather alert service, stating that all of SE Michigan would be heavily fogged in for the next 12 hours.
I still left my alarm set for 4:00 AM. When I got up and looked outside, the fog was as thick as the proverbial pea-soup.
We caught a break. Literally, a break in the clouds. It lasted more than two hours. It was long enough to get a decent view of what was probably the most active period of the shower. This was only the third time I remember in 15 years when we had any clear weather for the Leonids. But, man, that wind was cold!
