Fogged

A foggy night complemented my recent sense of detachment from reality. Were I just a bit madder, I would probably assume that I had projected my mental state upon the world. Were I bit less fond of conventionally dismal weather, I might assume that it had caused my mental state. Not being other than as I am, I'll assume serendipitous coincidence has allowed the weather to match my mood. I'm a bit sad that I have to sleep, as the fog is the thickest I've seen here in a long time, and even by morning light, visibility is 300 feet at most. I'd love to go out and walk in the wet fields and watch the birds appear and vanish in the grayness.
