I love to observe how the sun's position in the sky changes throught the year, and take special note of its position on special days such as soltices and equinoxes.

The play of sunlight through our house is especially noticeable in the kitchenand living room areas. I often remark upon how my cat changes her habits to conform to the moving sunlight, basking in advantageous spots and moving as the hours pass.

It is ironic that I made a remark this morning about the angle of the sun and the play of light throughout the house being especially pleasing. I made the remark about 15 minutes past the official solstice, and without remembering the significance of the day.

Practically winter here, the weather we've been having.

But thanks for that. And thanks for remembering I'm on the other side of the world, and we're in "summer"! That is very cooooool :) :P :)

Thanks for the nod...it's been hot in Sydney, but lots of clouds and humidity...so we're not seeing a lot of sun. I'm going to Adelaide for Christmas, and I'm sure I'll make up for it there. Desert weather, here I come!
