I ought not to have left this so late, but I've been very busy. For 22 years, my friends Jeanie McLerie and Ken Keppeler have had a band called Bayou Seco. Based in New Mexico, they play an eclectic mix of music, mostly from the Louisiana bayous and the borderlands of Mexico and the U.S.. They are beginning a tour of England today, January 10th. Their first dates are at the Whittlesea Straw Bear Festival. They will appear at a concert on Friday , and a dance (link on the concert page) on Saturday. Their tour will continue through early February. Anyone interested in American, Cajun, or Mexican folk music might want to check them out.
