Happy Tues Day

This has been a day on which absolutely nothing of note happened here.

Thus it has been a day like any other.

Thursday, when I'm to get my head yanked, there will probably be rain again, and I'll have to go out and get wet. My shoes, unsuited to the damp weather, are additionally soon to fall apart. I have other shoes I bought at the same time I bought the now falling-apart pair (there was a tremendous sale and it seemed a good idea to get a couple of pair ahead), but something has happened to my feet since then and the other shoes are now too tight. My feet are fat! Well. The other shoes are also of the type unsuited to the damp, so maybe I ought to be thinking about buying some boots. Boots (of the right type) are quite suited to the damp, and to snow as well. My current shoes have an unfortunate tendency to slip on snow.

Now I need only arrange to get my sorry ass to someplace where I can buy boots before my current shoes fall apart and I'm forced to try squeezing my now fat feet into one of the other pair of slippery, wet-sucking shoes that I bought that day.

what size foot do you have? If you are a ten, I'll send you a pair of desert boots I bought on ebay. Not steel toe as advertised.

I'm sorry for being so silent, I do so look forward to your posts. Its just that all I have is the phone to type upon.

The two pairs of old/new shoes I've got are in fact size ten (medium width), but they feel considerably tighter than they did when I bought them about two years ago. I'm not sure if I need to go to a ten-and-a-half, or if I just need wider tens (the toe-room feels a bit tight, but nowhere near as tight as the sides and top.) My old, broken-in tens feel fine, but they might be falling apart (instead of just wearing out as my shoes used to do) partly because my feet have actually gotten fatter and stretched them to the seam-ripping point.

Har! I didn't think feet could get fat, but then again I've never really pondered the issue. Anyway I just sent a box of stuff home (with those boots in it) but if you still want them in a month I'll send 'em your way.

Fair enough. It might be worth a shot to try them since not all footgear is made exactly the same and bootly varieties are often a bit more spacious than common street shoes. Of course I might have found something locally by then. Or fallen in the snow and been eaten by mountain lions. The future is obscure.

I didn't know feet could get fat either until it apparently happened to me. Maybe they're just chronically swollen, but I suspect a relationship to the dismal fact that I've gone from wearing 32' waist pants to 36' waist pants in two years. I blame Internet-related lack of exercise.
