Thus far we've been spared either high winds or snow,and there's not even been much rain. It was just another soggy, cold, gray day. During the last few minutes the air has begun to stir, though. I hear the pines whispering. The storm might amount to something yet.

Here, kitty kitty! A 10 year study of more than 4300 Americans by the Minnesota Stroke Institute at the University of Minnesota has found evidence that living with cats can reduce incidence of cardiovascular disease in humans. No mention was made of whether or not cat owners die of lung disease at higher rates than people who don't inhale lots of cat dander. That cat dander might be fatal may be the last straw of hope to which cat haters can cling. My guess is that kitties will dance on their graves. LOL, cats!

I hadn't known that Richelieu was a cat lover. That makes him seem like such a stereotypical Bondian villain. Now I'll always picture him gently stroking a purring cat while he orders assassinations and torture.

YouTube has loads of kitty videos. I intend to watch them all!

I can't say I'm very surprised about Brahms doing something so bizarre. His whole life was pretty weird, when you think about it; A lifelong bachelor whose closest relationship was with an older widow whose husband had shown every sign of having had a crush on the young Brahms? Something involving loads of Freudian repression was going on under that proper Victorian facade.

well, i can not say that this info surprises me. i didnt know he hated cats taht much, but i have always seen his personality as a bit scary. my parents are both musicians and i remember when my mother told me about his extrem perfectionism. (that kind of) extreme perfectionism and cats just dont go together, because cats are perfectionists, in a catish way - not in a human way ;)
