rejectomorphIt has occurred to me that some younger people might not remember Peggy Lee. But they might recall Disney's Lady and the Tramp. Peggy Lee did three songs on the soundtrack of that movie. It was a rather bold choice for the studio to make, since she was known as one of the sexiest and sultriest singers of the era. Not what one might have expected from Disney in those days.
Also, I wanted to post a link to the official Peggy Lee web site. She was just about the last of the great jazz-pop voices of the big band era, and one of the best. She has left a legacy of recordings equal to that of any of her peers.
