Forgot to mention in tonight's entry this Scientific American article about declining populations of migratory birds, and other migratory species. I don't think I've ever seen a cerulean warbler. Now maybe I never will.

Well with the economy in the state it is, who can afford to migrate these days? Those warblers are probably just playing it safe and staying home this year.

Well, if the warblers would drive sensible, economical hybrids instead of huge, gas-hogging SUV's, they could still afford to migrate.
