Shut

The striped cat turned up earlier this evening, but there's no sign of her kittens. She didn't eat much, and soon left. The gray cat showed up a bit later. He ate a bit more than she had, but he too soon went off, calling her. Striped cat is looking a bit fat around the middle. I wonder if she could have abandoned her current litter in anticipation of giving birth to another? If so, she's a very bad mother to go off and get knocked up and than abandon kittens who've barely learned to walk and have few survival skills.

It was too hot today to do much of anything. It's cooling off nicely now, though, and tomorrow is supposed to be a bit milder. Maybe my brain will work better then. Right now it wants to shut down. I'll let it.

oh, i hope she hasn't cast off those kittens! poor little things. sometimes mother nature's too much for me.

Apparently she has them stashed somewhere nearby. She brought them by for a while early this morning.
