At last an actual rain has arrived. All last night it drummed the roof and filled the downspouts. I enjoy listening to the drops falling on the roof, but the drops falling from the ceiling in the den... not so much. The feral cats have been making themselves scarce while the storm has been going on. It let up long enough for them to come get fed this afternoon, but they didn't stick around. I have no idea where they are holed up. Maybe they're in the shed.

More rain tomorrow, but Thursday will probably be clear for my rescheduled head-yanking. Then more rain for the weekend. The more the better. There's a lot of catching up to do.

The wild poppies in the back yard will be as well fed as the kitties if this rain continues. I look forward to seeing how many new plants pop up this spring.
