(See previous post.) Well, it is the first time, after all. And I was beginning to think I'd never figure out how to do it, so let me be a little bit pleased with myself.
A list of online tutorials would be very useful. Thanks. The link in the FAQs to the HTML Markup Guide site wont work, for some reason. As for using the LJ feature that prevents search engines from logging my journal, I'm not really worried about showing up on their sites. I found LJ when looking for something entirely unrelated at Google, so I figure that if somebody stumbles on one of my posts while there, maybe they'll be as happy to have found this place as I am. And, since I can already be seen by anybody who wanders in or is registered anyway, what's a few million more?

Oh, someone has recommended webmonkey.com to me. I have never tried it, but it is supposed to be your one-stop shop for all your HTML needs.
