Random Crap
Apr. 22nd, 2010 11:33 pmAlger came back for a snack this afternoon, looking none the worse, but he was as skittish as I've ever seen him. He kept looking over his shoulder as he ate, and jumped at the slightest sound or movement. Even a bird landing nearby spooked him. He wasn't very vocal, either, so I didn't get my usual elaborate greeting from him. After he ate he left quickly. I haven't seen his sister at all today.
Also beastly: from the Flickr Fanchon and Marco photostream, their utterly terrifying vision of Mickey Mouse from one of their productions of the 1930s.
Despite having eaten far too much this week I still have foods left over. Some will probably go to waste. I must learn to shop less impulsively.

Date: 2010-04-23 12:38 pm (UTC)the temptation to buy lots of beautiful food for yourself is understandable, i think, after all that time spent feeding others. mmm, now i'm sitting here thinking of beautiful food. i'd better have some breakfast. *s*

Date: 2010-04-24 06:52 am (UTC)Alger was a bit more confident today, though still cautious. It's a good thing he was cautious, as the two-toned tom (Tommy Two-tone!) made two visits to my yard— both, fortunately, when Alger and his sister weren't here.

Date: 2010-04-24 10:47 am (UTC)when i was a kid, my mom was often visited, at the back door, by hoboes asking for a hand-out. she'd give them a little something, a sandwich maybe. she told me that there was probably a marker somewhere in the alley indicating a "kind-hearted lady" lived in the house. i've since seen graphic listings of hobo markings, and that was one of them.
somewhere out in your yard, there's a marking that only feral kitties can read. :)
