They've been working on the main road a block west all week, and the noise has been disrupting my sleep schedule. They had some kind of grinder removing lumps from the pavement one morning, and it was incredibly annoying. Another reason to wish the house had better insulation. At least they won't be working on the weekend.

Last night Portia decided to give me a bad time by staying out until two o'clock in the morning, then having half an hour of cat lunacy when she came back in. There was much running and leaping, and upholstery was shredded and various items knocked over. Then she curled up next to me and purred herself to sleep. The moon wasn't even full. Cats.

Speaking of which: Simon's Cat (it's been around for a couple of years but I only just found it.)

And this one says "Good morning, Vicki."

haha! yes, and mine said that at 5:20 this morning, which is what i was doing up at that ungodly hour when i could've been sleeping. he demanded i scratch his ears, and when i did, he nipped at me. cats, indeed. :D
