Slept. Clowns did not eat me. Neither did the birds.

Even better, none of my teeth have gone bad in the last 18 months. Yes, not needing dental work is better than not being eaten by birds or clowns. If ever I need root canal, bring on the clowns.

Yesterday afternoon's birds have vanished. The flock only remained nearby for a couple of hours, then moved on, so they must have been migrating. I have no idea what species they were. This is the first time I can recall that so large a flock of birds has visited our block. Hundreds of them! I'm glad they weren't buses.

there was a fascinating pbs show about crows a couple of weeks ago. i watched half of it before my attention wandered. now when i see crows watching me, i speak to them. they'll remember!

Crows worry me. On the block where I lived in Los Angeles there was once a period of several days when a couple of crows took to attacking pedestrians. They would perch on telephone poles and when someone passed they would swoop down and peck at their heads. I think they might have been lining their nest with human hair. The odd thing was they didn't attack anyone with black hair. Maybe they thought those people already had crows on their heads.
