Brain-napped

rejectomorphAgain with the unintended naps. Two evenings in a row I turned into the old guy who falls asleep on the couch and wakes up two hours later with a stiff neck. Maybe my brain is trying to put me into hibernation. Actually, hibernation wouldn't be so bad if I could get away with it. But, as much as I'd like to sleep until spring, who would pay the bills, and who would feed the feral cats? Who would rake the leaves and put the brown wheelie bins out for collection?
The only way it would work is if somebody put the whole place under an enchantment, so that everything— me, the cats, the trees the house— simply passed out of existence until winter had gone. Then the AT&T guy would come and kiss my telephone box and everything would wake up and return to the real world. But I'm fresh out of enchantments. I'm just going to have to try to stay awake in the evenings. All winter long.
