There'll be no Sunday shopping this week because I got it out of the way today. Now there is undisparageable asparagus and succulent strawberries. California asparagus and strawberries! Somehow they managed to grow through a spring that seems never to have escaped March, and here they are while the chilly rain streams down yet again. There's also a banana, but there's always a banana.

This particular storm will blow away by tomorrow afternoon, but March will return next week. I've turned the thermostat up. It's almost June and I want to be warm. I want to eat strawberries without shivering.
