Is the directory actually returning? The first time I saw LJ, it was there. It vanished before I started my journal. Since then, it has been like the weather; everyone talks about it, but nobody does anything about it. Since the site has just about 500,000 users, and I was about number 210,000, over half the people on the site have probably never seen the directory. Oh, let it come back!

Wow. I remember the directory. When I first came, you could click on the most recently updated UK journals and the first page would look like my friends list - and there were 20,000-odd people then.
