rejectomorphThis is journal entry number 6,010. Somehow I forgot to note entry number 6000, which was way back on September 3. If I went back and deleted ten crappy old entries, maybe the number would adjust and I could pass this one off as number 6000. But so far this is a pretty crappy entry itself, so it would probably be pointless.
Anyway. This is an old journal. I never managed to keep a paper journal so regularly for such a long time. I don't know if this one has held on so long because I'm older than I was when I kept a paper journal, or because there's something about writing on the Internet that keeps me posting. Like perhaps I don't want to disappoint my readers.
And anyway. There were clouds today, and some lovely cirrus are lingering now, glowing with the light of early evening. There might shortly be color for sunset, to remind me again of autumn's approach— as though I needed reminding. I'm counting the days.
Instead of taking an unintentional nap this afternoon I went to YouTube and watched music videos, including my favorite Duran Duran track. I'm going to go listen to it again as I watch the evening light change. It's turning pale mauve even now.

If I could get readers up to speed on our rapidly changing roster, I might become interesting again, but telling you Dan was fired for raping "x" just doesn't have the same qualities of an imminent forest fire.
