rejectomorphZone Alarm decided to do a security scan just when I was getting ready to do stuff with the computer. I twas tied up for three hours, and then had to do an update on top of it. It did find and neutralize a trojan of some sort, though, so I guess it was worth it. Not that the computer is any faster or anything now. At least it probably won't explode in my face.
But now it's too late to do anything with it. I have to make dinner, and then I'm going to close this room to conserve heat and spend the rest of the night in the living room. A few minutes of sunshine today were unable to provide any but the most transitory warmth, and the night is as cold as last week's news.
