Ah, the update page is working again. I like Semagic, but the font in its update box is so tiny! and I can't figure out any way to enlarge it, so I guess I'll continue to use the regular update page as long as it's here.

I just had the most disorienting experience. I fell asleep on the couch sometime around six o'clock, woke up about half past seven, and, partly due to the overcast sky, thought I had woken up at at half past seven Friday morning. In fact I thought it was Friday morning when I started writing this post. After futzing on the computer for a while, I looked outside and saw that the sky was darker than it had been several minutes earlier. For a moment I thought that really dense clouds had darkened the morning, but after checking the date on the computer I realized that it was still Thursday evening. Now still I feel oddly displaced in time. My guess is that my full-on senility is only a few months off.

Now what the hell am I going to do with the rest of the night? I just had my morning orange juice, damn it! At least my temporary confusion has led me to write two journal entries in one day. That happens so rarely anymore.

I woke up convinced I was late to church one Sunday morning and raced up Greenwood, only to find out it was Saturday. What had confused me was waking up in the night and reading online for a while, knowing it was Saturday, and then waking up a few hours later sure the day had ticked over into Sunday. I think I'm getting senile too.

I can sure see why that was so disorienting. I'm glad it wasn't really a bad storm!
