Misery

Somebody left the gates of Hell open again and the heat is flowing out. The temperature in the house approached 80 degrees this evening before the outdoors got cool enough that I could open my windows. But apparently something is pollinating again, as I've been sneezing ever since I woke up from my unintentional afternoon nap. I also have a few mosquito bites I got while I watered the plants this evening, so on the whole I'm quite miserable. The misery will last all week, and longer. It will go above 100 degrees on Friday, and the whole weekend will be hot. The only saving grace is that the nights are remaining cool, so I can cool the house at night and might not have to use the air conditioner. I do not like the heat, but I don't like the air conditioner much more.

Ugh, I hate heat. 100+ is just too much of it, too.

We had few mild summers in a row and they spoiled me. Now it looks like we could have a hotter than normal summer, and I can already smell the spoilage.
