Thoughts before sleep.

For some reason, ideas pop into my head most easily when I am about ready to go to sleep. Bits of the past bob to the surface of my mind, and I begin to see patterns forming among them. Maybe these are the thoughts and images which will become those dreams I undoubtedly have but almost never remember. I sometimes have the feeling that my dream life must be far more interesting than my waking life, and that it is for this reason that I sink so deeply into it, and why I find it so difficult to wake up. I wonder if I'll ever find out?
