Fatalism

It's awfully hot again, and will be even hotter for the next week, or longer. All afternoon crows were cawing nearby. I don't know where they get the energy. My energy has melted into a puddle and then evaporated. I'm hoping some of it will come back as the evening cools, but I'm not counting on it. It's a good thing I don't live in the valley as it was probably ten degrees hotter down there today than it was up here. If I were a cannibal I could wait for nightfall and go down to Chico and probably find plenty of sun-barbecued corpses just lying about ready to be dined on. I'm quite sure that half the population of California will be dead of heat stroke by the end of the month. I only hope it doesn't interfere with beer deliveries, but it probably will.

I doubt that zombies will be happy about this weather. They rot faster in the heat.
